Welcome to Stanley’s Rest, a beautifully refurbished Peak District lodge designed for relaxed group stays, sleeping up to 9 guests in a stunning countryside setting.
The lodge offers flexible accommodation across two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features five cosy cabin-style bunk beds, while Bedroom 2 can be arranged to suit your group. It is typically set up with four single beds, but can also be configured as one double bed and two singles upon request (please let us know prior to arrival).
Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A spacious lounge with TV, generous dining area, large fully equipped kitchen, two shower rooms, and two toilets provide plenty of space for everyone. Step outside to your private patio area and unwind in the hot tub after a day exploring the Peak District.
Perfectly positioned in the charming hamlet of Upper Hulme, Stanley’s Rest sits at the foot of The Roaches within the Peak District National Park. Surrounded by dramatic scenery and open countryside, it is an exceptional base for walking, climbing, and outdoor adventure.
Just a short 5-minute stroll away is the popular Ye Olde Rock Inn, offering great food and a welcoming atmosphere. The nearby market town of Leek provides independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and a lively local music scene. You’ll also find a wide range of attractions close by, including The Roaches, Peak Climbing School, Tittesworth Water, Rudyard Lake, Peak Wildlife Park, Alton Towers, Pooles Cavern, Go Ape, and more.
Stanley’s Rest forms part of a larger accommodation setting alongside Peak Lodge. Both properties can be booked separately or together and are connected via an interlinking passage, creating a large exclusive-use space for groups of up to 34 guests across seven bedrooms.
We warmly welcome hen parties, stag groups, and birthday celebrations. For these occasions, we kindly require both lodges to be booked exclusively to ensure privacy and comfort for all guests. Please contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
